The Enugu State Chapter of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has appointed Chief Stephen Chukwueze as its new Patron, in a move aimed at strengthening the organization’s leadership and advancing Igbo unity and development within the state.
The appointment was announced during a meeting of the group’s leadership in Enugu, where members described Chief Chukwueze as a respected community leader whose experience and commitment to the Igbo cause make him well-suited for the role.
According to the chapter, the decision reflects confidence in Chukwueze’s capacity to offer guidance, moral support, and strategic direction as the socio-cultural organization continues to pursue the welfare and collective interests of the Igbo people.
Speaking on the development, representatives of the Enugu chapter noted that the patronage position is vital to reinforcing Ohanaeze Ndigbo’s objectives of cultural preservation, advocacy, and unity among Ndi Igbo across communities.
