Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has disclosed that the Presidency has allegedly issued a warning to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, over his ongoing political dispute with Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara.
Speaking during a media engagement, Fayose claimed that the Presidency is dissatisfied with the prolonged tension between the two political figures and has advised Wike to seek reconciliation and work in harmony with Governor Fubara. According to Fayose, failure to resolve the crisis could put Wike’s position in the federal cabinet at risk.
The former governor noted that the situation in Rivers State has drawn national attention and is viewed as a distraction capable of undermining governance and party stability. He stressed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration expects unity and cooperation among key political stakeholders, especially those holding sensitive positions at both state and federal levels.
Fayose further emphasized that internal conflicts within the political structure must be handled with maturity, warning that continued rivalry could have serious political consequences for all parties involved.
As of the time of filing this report, neither the Presidency nor Wike has officially responded to Fayose’s claims. Meanwhile, political observers continue to monitor developments in Rivers State as calls for peace and reconciliation grow louder.
