A major fire outbreak has razed parts of the Fatima Simra Multi-Purpose Market in Kano, causing panic among traders and residents in the area.
The fire, which reportedly started in the early hours, spread rapidly through several sections of the market, destroying shops and goods worth millions of naira. Eyewitnesses said traders struggled to salvage their property as thick smoke and flames engulfed the market complex.
