Police Arrest Three with Human Skull in Imo, Plan DNA Test to Identify Victim

Security operatives in Imo State have arrested three individuals caught in possession of a human skull, a native hen, and white garments along the Okigwe-Umuahia Expressway.

The suspects, identified as Patrick Okoere (29), Ifeanyichukwu Anyaemeka (28), and Chukwuemeka Onyekachi (20), were apprehended by officers from the Okigwe Divisional Headquarters with assistance from local residents in the Ogii community.

According to Henry Okoye, the spokesperson for the Imo State Police Command, Patrick Okoere admitted that his uncle, Osunta Oko, had instructed him to obtain a human skull. He further revealed that the skull was found near a riverbank, an area notorious for cases of kidnapping.

To determine the identity of the skull’s owner, authorities have announced plans to conduct a DNA test. Meanwhile, efforts are underway to locate and arrest Osunta Oko and any other individuals connected to the crime.

Imo State Commissioner of Police, Aboki Danjuma, reiterated the force’s commitment to safeguarding the public and ensuring that those responsible face justice. Investigations remain ongoing, with further updates expected in due course.
