Today, during the trial of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, several issues arose. The Defense team objected to the Prosecution’s presentation of documents, stating they had not received them beforehand. Justice Omotosho also confirmed he hadn’t received the documents. When the Prosecution presented its second witness, codenamed “Mr. BBB,” Mazi Nnamdi Kanu denied knowing the witness.
Additionally, the Defense pointed out that neither the video evidence nor a letter from the former Attorney General had been served to them. In response, Justice Omotosho instructed the Prosecution to ensure that all future documents are served to the Defense in advance for proper review and cross-examination.
The court has adjourned to May 7, 2025, for further proceedings.
