Renowned industrialist and politician, Dr. Chike Obidigbo, has raised fresh concerns over the deteriorating health of the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.
Obidigbo, in a statement, warned that the federal government’s continued neglect of Kanu’s health could destabilize the country and trigger deeper unrest in the South-East. He noted that beyond politics, the IPOB leader’s wellbeing is fast becoming a national security concern, stressing that any negative outcome could escalate separatist agitations.
According to him, the matter requires urgent intervention to prevent a crisis that may “ruin Nigeria” if not carefully managed. He appealed to President Bola Tinubu’s administration to prioritize Kanu’s medical treatment and explore political solutions to the long-standing Biafra agitation.
