Testing Begins at Governor Alia’s Orange Fruit Juice Factory in Benue State

The Benue Investment and Property Company Limited (BIPC) has successfully commenced the testing phase of juice production at the newly revitalized Benfruits Industry, a major agricultural and industrial project spearheaded by the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia.

The milestone event took place on Wednesday at the company’s facility located in the Industrial Layout, Makurdi, where the first batch of orange juice was officially produced as part of a test run.

During the event, the Group Managing Director of BIPC, Dr. Raymond Asemakaha, CFA, expressed deep appreciation to Governor Alia for his unwavering commitment to revitalizing the state’s dormant industries. He noted that the successful test-run marked a major breakthrough in the administration’s efforts to restore Benue’s industrial capacity and create jobs for citizens.

Dr. Asemakaha also emphasized that the production of locally processed juice from Benue’s abundant fruit resources will boost economic growth, reduce waste, and promote the “Made in Benue” brand.

Governor Hyacinth Alia’s administration has continued to prioritize agricultural transformation and industrial diversification in the state. The reopening of the Benfruits Industry aligns with his vision of repositioning Benue as Nigeria’s food basket and now, a fruit-processing hub.

The move is expected to attract investors, provide employment opportunities, and enhance value addition across Benue’s agricultural value chain.

With testing now underway, residents are optimistic that full-scale production of Benfruits Orange Juice will soon commence, marking a new era of industrial growth and economic sustainability in Benue State.
