American human rights lawyer Mike Arnold has publicly thanked Nigerian newspapers — The Guardian and ThisDay — for removing what he described as false reports allegedly pushed by Reno Omokri.
Arnold took to social media to express gratitude to the media houses, claiming the stories falsely suggested that he denied evidence of Christian genocide in Nigeria — a position he insists he never took.
“Thank you to ThisDay and The Guardian for pulling Omokri’s fraudulent stories that said I denied the genocide. Kudos to my lawyers for prompt intervention,” Arnold stated.
He further warned other media outlets that had published similar reports to retract immediately or face legal action.
This development follows ongoing controversies surrounding Reno Omokri’s sponsored probe, which Arnold had been linked to before publicly distancing himself from what he now calls “propaganda.”
The back-and-forth between Arnold and Omokri has since dominated online discussions, adding another layer to the heated debate over alleged religious persecution and media integrity in Nigeria
