From China to Osokwa: Donzara Set for Second Round of Life-Changing Empowerment

History is about to repeat itself in grand style as renowned philanthropist and businessman, Chief Chizaramekpere Abraham Sunday, fondly known as Donzara (Okpata Ozuo Ora 1 of Ngwa Land and first son of Osokwa), prepares to empower his people for the second time in a row.

Recall that on January 13, 2025, during his colourful housewarming ceremony, Donzara shook Osokwa and its environs with an uncommon show of love and generosity. Friends, allies, brothers and constituents smiled home with cars, motorcycles, sewing machines, food items and cash grants, in a life-changing empowerment that got many talking across Abia State and beyond.

Fast forward to exactly one year later, the Donzara magic is back — bigger, bolder and better — this time under a structured humanitarian platform, the Donzara Foundation.

Through the foundation, Donzara has continued to touch lives quietly but impactfully. Over the past year, several women have been trained in valuable skills, small businesses have been financially supported, and a number of youths have been taken abroad on business and scholarship opportunities, opening doors many only dream of.

The philanthropic giant, who runs a thriving shipment and logistics business in China, has remained consistent in giving back to his roots. The foundation is ably driven by its Director-General and Media Manager, Mrs. Alozie Akudo, whose leadership has helped translate Donzara’s vision into real-life success stories.

Friday, January 16, 2026, all roads lead to Okpuala Ukwu, Osokwa, in Osisioma Ngwa LGA of Abia State, as the second phase of this annual empowerment programme unfolds. As usual, expectations are high, as beneficiaries are set to go home with sewing machines, motorcycles, business grants, cash support and many other empowerment items.

Once again, Donzara is proving that true wealth is not just measured by what you have, but by how many lives you lift. Osokwa is ready. Smiles are guaranteed. And the Donzara Foundation is set to make it rain hope.
