The Governor of Abia State, His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti OFR, on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to the former Governor of Imo State and former Senator representing Imo West Senatorial District, His Excellency, Senator Dr. Rochas Okorocha, at his Maitama residence in Abuja.

The visit, which later transitioned into a warm dinner banquet hosted by Senator Okorocha, further highlighted the longstanding cordial relationship between the two political leaders, a relationship said to predate their active involvement in partisan politics.
Governor Otti was accompanied by notable members of the Labour Party caucus in the House of Representatives, including Hon. Ginger Onwusibe, Hon. Mascot Ikwechegh, Hon. Munachim Alozie, and Hon. Obi Aguocha.

Also part of the Governor’s delegation were key members of the Abia State Executive Council and senior government officials, among them Hon. Ikechukwu Monday, Hon. Ngozi Felix, Hon. Odinakachi Eric Eme, and the Principal Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Chinonye Mba Uzoukwu.

The delegation was warmly received by Senator Rochas Okorocha alongside members of his family, including his wife, Mrs. Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha, and his daughter, Mrs. Uju Okorocha, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Health and the Focal Person on Nutrition.
Observers believe the meeting reflects growing political consultations and relationship-building among influential leaders across the South-East region ahead of future political engagements and governance collaborations.

The atmosphere at the dinner reception was described as friendly, reflective, and centred on discussions around leadership, governance, and development in the South-East.
Face To Face TV reports that the visit has continued to generate reactions among political observers, with many interpreting it as a sign of increasing synergy among prominent political actors in the region.
