The All Progressives Congress (APC) has concluded its primary election for the Abia South Senatorial District, with Hon. Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr emerging as the party’s flag bearer for the forthcoming general election after a commanding performance across the district.
Erondu Jnr, who currently represents Obingwa-West State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, secured victory in all six local government areas that make up the senatorial district, reaffirming his growing political influence within the APC structure in Abia South.
The result was officially announced at the APC Abia South Senatorial Primary Election Collation Centre in Aba by the Collation Officer, Prof. Emmanuel Kalu Agbaeze, after the completion of the collation process.
According to the final results declared, Erondu Jnr polled a total of 16,640 votes to defeat other aspirants in the keenly contested primary.

Following the announcement, Prof. Emmanuel Kalu Agbaeze formally declared Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr as the winner of the APC Abia South Senatorial primary election.
With this victory, Erondu Jnr now becomes the official candidate of the APC for the Abia South Senatorial seat ahead of the upcoming general elections.
