The Federal University of Health Sciences, Azare (FUHSA) has matriculated 1,448 newly admitted students, with the university management using the occasion to issue a firm warning against cultism and other social vices on campus.
Speaking during the matriculation ceremony, the university authorities emphasized that FUHSA maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward cult-related activities. New students were advised to focus on their academic pursuits, personal discipline, and character development, stressing that any involvement in cultism would attract severe sanctions in line with university regulations.
The management also urged parents and guardians to play active roles in guiding their wards, noting that academic excellence must go hand in hand with moral responsibility. Students were reminded that the institution was established to train health professionals whose conduct must reflect integrity, professionalism, and service to humanity.
The ceremony, which marked the official admission of the students into various health-related programmes, was attended by academic staff, parents, and stakeholders. University leaders reaffirmed their commitment to providing a safe and conducive learning environment.
