The State Director of the CityBoy Movement (CBM), Abia State Chapter, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, has charged Local Government Area Coordinators of the movement to remain committed, united and focused on delivering measurable results as the organisation intensifies grassroots mobilisation across Abia State ahead of the 2027 general election.
Mayor Igbokwe gave the charge during a strategic meeting with the LGA Coordinators, where he commended them for their commitment, sacrifices and continued support towards strengthening the CityBoy Movement across the state.
Addressing the coordinators, the State Director reminded them that the movement has a common political objective — to mobilise support at the grassroots and contribute meaningfully to the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.
He urged the coordinators to take full ownership of the movement in their respective LGAs by expanding membership, strengthening ward structures, engaging stakeholders and reaching out to voters across communities.
According to him, occupying a leadership position in the movement must be backed by commitment, capacity and measurable achievements.
“We have one interest, and that is to bring back our President, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Every LGA Coordinator must understand the responsibility that comes with the position. We need results. We need you to go to the grassroots, mobilise, build structures and show what you can achieve,” Mayor Igbokwe said.
He further reassured the coordinators that the national leadership of the CityBoy Movement remains firmly behind the Abia State Chapter, urging them to remain confident, disciplined and united in pursuing the objectives of the movement.
Mayor Igbokwe also encouraged the coordinators to maintain strong working relationships with their ward structures and relevant stakeholders, stressing the need to build an organised grassroots network across all 17 Local Government Areas of Abia State.
In their separate remarks, the LGA Coordinators expressed appreciation to the State Director for what they described as his accessibility, leadership and commitment to building a stronger CityBoy Movement in Abia State.
They reaffirmed their loyalty to the leadership of Mayor Lucky Igbokwe and pledged to intensify mobilisation efforts within their respective LGAs.
The coordinators also committed themselves to expanding the movement’s membership base, strengthening grassroots and ward structures, engaging more stakeholders and working collectively towards achieving the objectives of the CityBoy Movement.
They expressed confidence in the leadership of the State Director and assured him that the LGA structures would remain united and focused on delivering results.
The meeting ended with a renewed commitment to take the message of the CityBoy Movement to wards and communities across Abia State, with emphasis on grassroots mobilisation, stronger structures, membership expansion and measurable results ahead of the 2027 general election.
