A man has been taken into police custody following allegations that he attempted to sexually assault the daughter of his late friend, an incident that has sparked outrage and renewed calls for stronger child protection measures.
According to police sources, the suspect was arrested after a report was filed by concerned relatives and community members, who raised the alarm over the alleged incident involving the minor. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect was known to the family and had maintained a close relationship with them following the death of the child’s father.
