The report, published by S&P Global Energy, highlighted that disruptions in global fuel supply chains—particularly those linked to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East—have significantly altered traditional aviation fuel routes. According to insights shared by Dangote Refinery’s Chief Executive Officer, David Bird, during an interview at the facility, the refinery’s rising output has positioned it as a key player in meeting global demand for aviation fuel. The CEO noted that operational efficiency and expanding production levels have enabled the refinery to respond quickly to international market needs.
The report further explained that changing supply dynamics have reshaped global energy flows, allowing new exporters to gain ground in markets previously dominated by established suppliers. Dangote Refinery’s performance in April reflects this broader shift in the energy landscape.
